Thought Bubble, Leeds

We had a great time at Thought Bubble. Thanks to everyone who came along and thanks to everyone who bought stuff from us. It was the first time our book was available to buy so it was a pretty exciting weekend all round. Here's a pic of us behind our table (courtesy of the Forbidden Planet blog). If you missed out on buying any of our wares it's all still available from my shop and Louise's.
Thank you!

Movember - Win Montgomery Venk!

Visit the Gallery of Mo and for just A POUND you could win Montgomery Venk. Tickets are £1 each but you can buy as many as you want. We (me and Felty) created Montgomery exclusively for Movember. Here's a little bit about him -

Montgomery is currently working on a biography of Lee Hazelwood which focuses primarily on the impact his moustache had on his musical oeuvre (an angle that he feels has been oddly overlooked by most biographers). He divides his time between a hut in the Mojave Desert and a transport cafe on the outskirts of Macclesfield - "When writing I find it essential to be near either a Joshua tree or a mixed grill". Montgomery likes his tea "the colour of a rusty penny" and his Bourbon neat.

All proceeds go to Movember charity. What are you waiting for?!

New books in the shop - "Imagined Landscapes" and "Monster London"

I've added two new publications to my shop -

"Sketchbook Vol 2 - Imagined Landscapes" is a 32 page book featuring a selection of my fictional landscape drawings. It's an edition of 100, each copy signed and numbered.

And "Monster London" - a 36 page colour A6 book collecting all the work from my summer exhibition of the same name at Foyles, London.

Tippy's coming - look busy!

To coincide with the release of the 400 page behemoth that is "Felt Mistress : Creature Couture" (which I'm sure I've mentioned once or twice!) comes the very first Felt Mistress vinyl toy. And who better to immortalised in vinyl than everyone's favourite orange-booted, wide eyed, sugar buzzer Tippy! Crazy Label (the brilliant company who produced my Inspector Cumulus figure last year) have created a standard Tippy (available from designer toy stockists worldwide) and a limited edition gold Tippy. Gold Tippy will be available exclusively from Blank Slate books when you order the special "Creature Couture/Gold Tippy" edition by simply clicking HERE. Here's some pics of both versions and Gold Tippy in his special edition box designed by Woodrow Phoenix. Let Tippy into your life, you know you want to!
